Reconnecting Through Light and Love
Communication Breakdowns: Are They Really Sudden?
Have you ever been on a phone call when it abruptly drops? You reconnect immediately, and the person on the other end exclaims, "I don't know what happened!"
When I heard Jerry Seinfeld make this observation, I laughed at the absurdity of it. There was something both lighthearted and deeply true about the humor.
It got me thinking about how we communicate in our everyday relationships.
Breakdowns happen regularly, from simple misunderstandings to more complex emotional disconnects. Too often, we let them pass without addressing what's really going on. We carry on as though nothing is wrong, while unresolved frustrations quietly build beneath the surface...
...until suddenly, BOOM!
One person explodes, leaving the other stunned: "What on Earth just happened? We were having a perfectly calm conversation, and out of nowhere, you broke down!"
But is it really sudden? Did someone actually have a meltdown over nothing?
Look again. What has been disturbing the relationship over time? What has gone unacknowledged, remained hidden, or created internal chaos?
This is where Becoming Soulmatic comes in.
Soulmatic vs. Automatic
Being Automatic means operating through habitual, thoughtless reactions that trigger distress and disconnection. It keeps us repeating the same old patterns.
Being Soulmatic is the opposite.
It means coming from a peaceful, centered, attentive, and aligned space. It invites us to listen deeply, both to ourselves and to others, creating room for thoughtful, harmonious responses rather than automatic reactions.
Soulmatic awareness IS the repair.
